The Affordable Healthcare Act was signed into law on 2010 by president Obama. This plus other healthcare acts were supposed to reform the US healthcare system by lowering healthcare costs, making healthcare more affordable to everyone. The main idea behind it was the fact that people and parents of children, who suffer with pre-existing conditions could now have access to good healthcare coverage, as well as the many American’s who go every day without healthcare insurance could now have the opportunity to purchase healthcare coverage which in the end was supposed to cut down healthcare cost.

The first resource I am going to list is http://healthcarereform.procon.org/ , I am absolutely entertained and excited by this website because of the fact that the website presents the pros and cons of the Affordable Healthcare Act, you are writing on as well as providing us, the students, with valuable information regarding both sides of the argument and outs them into sorted categories to search through. This website presents a lot of key facts and issue’s to think about when considering whether or not the Affordable Healthcare Act is truly good for America. It also lay out what type of services the Act will cover and which services they won’t, which is important because there are a lot of “touchy” issue’s that deal with federal money being used to support these programs however not a lot of people really talk about any of these out in the open.

  1. I didn't realize there would be services that the Act would not cover, so this is definitely a great source! I can't wait to read your final essay and learn more about this Act and what is really going on with it. The whole thing is such a debate and there are so many things being said about it, I have no idea what the truth is.
